Meet Charlotte & Emily
A Mother & Daughter Blogging About
Real Lessons on Life, Love
& Living Beautifully.
We’re a mother and daughter living our best lives in sunny Southern California — sharing every lesson, laugh, and beautiful moment along the way. From Charlotte’s four decades beside her husband Frank to Emily’s joyful chaos with two little ones, we write the kind of posts we wish we’d had: honest, warm, and actually useful. In early 2026, we found a home that was already full of women just like us — and we couldn’t wait to meet them.

Our Story
We Didn’t Go Looking for a Blog. We Found a Community.
Charlotte spent years raising Emily, volunteering at school, and quietly becoming the person everyone called for marriage advice, budget-friendly remodel ideas, and the best drugstore mascara. Emily grew up, married her husband Daniel, and suddenly the group chat was full of questions about toddler sleep, date nights when you’re exhausted, and whether “self-care” is allowed to be just washing your face.
We had so much to say. What we didn’t want to do was spend years building an audience from zero while all those women waited. So in early 2026, we found The Mom Beauty — an already-thriving community of real women looking for exactly what we had to offer. We didn’t start from scratch. We found our people first, then introduced ourselves.
What Our Readers Say
“Finally a beauty blog that doesn’t make me feel broke. Charlotte’s skincare routine and Emily’s honest reviews saved my sensitive skin and my wallet.”
Rachel M., San Diego
“I sent Charlotte’s senior living checklist to my siblings and we actually had a calm conversation for once. This site feels like advice from a friend who’s been there.”
Patricia L., Orange County
“Emily’s parenting posts read like my own brain — funny, tired, and kind. I’ve used her meal-prep tricks and her ‘good enough’ mindset more than anything from a textbook.”
Monica K., Long Beach
Whether you’re here for a five-minute makeup routine, a frank talk about money, or help navigating care for an aging parent, we write like we talk — with warmth, specifics, and the occasional story Frank or Daniel probably wishes stayed in the family group text.
Our categories span Beauty, Home, Money, Relationships, Senior Living, Parenting, Events, and Mindset because real life doesn’t stay in one lane. If something mattered in our week, we figure it might matter in yours too.

Why We’re the Ones Telling These Stories
Decades of lived experience — not borrowed talking points — plus the messy, wonderful work of showing up for family every day. We didn’t need a platform. We needed the right one. That’s why we chose this community over starting fresh.
Charlotte
Four Decades With Frank
Charlotte has been married to Frank for 40 years. Through job changes, a cross-town move, and the ordinary Tuesday nights that actually make a marriage. She’s the one friends call when they need a hostess plan on a budget, a gentle word about aging parents, or proof that love can be steady and still fun.
Emily
Marriage, Motherhood & Mayhem
Emily is in the thick of it: a marriage she’s proud of (most days), a 10-year-old son who lives in cleats, and a 5-year-old daughter who has opinions about glitter. She writes about parenting without perfection, date nights that sometimes mean Target and takeout, and the beauty hacks that survive school drop-off.
Together
The Mom Beauty
We’re not here to sell you a fantasy… we’re here to make the everyday a little easier. You’ll find Charlotte on relationships, home, senior living, and the mindset that comes with seasoning. You’ll find Emily on beauty that fits real life, money that respects your goals, parenting truth, and local events worth the babysitter.
How We Got Here
A Few Milestones From Our Real Life
1986
Charlotte Said “I Do” to Frank
A small church wedding, a starter apartment, and two people who thought they knew what forever meant — then spent the next forty years actually learning. Those early years taught Charlotte more about patience and partnership than any headline ever could.

1994
Emily Arrived — and Charlotte’s World Tilted
Sleepless nights, sticky fingers on everything, and a love so fierce it rearranged every priority. Charlotte stepped back from full-time work for a season, learned to stretch a dollar, and discovered she had a gift for making other moms feel less alone.

2016
Emily Married Daniel
A backyard ceremony with twinkle lights, Frank’s slightly-too-long toast, and the beginning of a partnership built on inside jokes and shared spreadsheets. Charlotte cried through the whole thing… happy tears, mostly.

2020
The Year We Texted Each Other Constantly
Lockdowns, sourdough fails, and a thousand “how do I look on Zoom?” screenshots between mother and daughter. Somewhere between bread recipes and budget tweaks, we realized how much we still had to say — and how many women might want to listen.

2024
The Mom Beauty Was Born
A community of real women found a home here — sharing beauty tips, money truths, parenting stories, and the kind of life advice you can actually use. The audience was already growing. The conversation was already happening.

2026
Charlotte & Emily Take the Helm
We could have started a blog from scratch. We chose not to. We found The Mom Beauty — a site with a real audience of women already showing up — and we knew it was the right home for our voices. We didn’t want women to wait. Neither did we.

Our story is still unfolding — and we’re glad you’re here for it.
What We Believe
The Values Behind Every Post

Beauty Without the Guilt Trip
You don’t need a twenty-step routine or a designer-only closet to care for yourself. We share what works in real bathrooms, real budgets, and real mornings when someone can’t find their shoes.

Honest Money Talk
From grocery hacks to bigger goals, we name numbers without shame. If we splurged, we’ll say so. If we saved, we’ll show the spreadsheet mentality — without making anyone feel “behind.”

Relationships Worth the Hard Days
Marriage, parenting, friendship, caregiving — we don’t pretend it’s all candlelight and curated photos. We write about repair, laughter at the wrong moments, and the small choices that stack into a life you still like living.

Mindset, Minus the Noise
We’re not here to hustle you into burnout. We believe in boundaries, grace, showing up for the people you love — and naming when it’s time to rest, pivot, or ask for help.
